Intensity in its Most Simplistic Form
Gravity is familiar to us. When we drop something, it falls. The force that keeps our feet on the ground is the same awe-inspiring power that gives life to destructive landslides and majestic waterfalls. It is also, however, a force that invokes a sense of euphoria that you cannot even begin to replicate. An action as small as a simple jump can engrave on your mind an experience that you will never be able to forget. From heights of about two thousand feet, gravity doesn’t seem nominal anymore. As a matter of fact, it seems like a very influential and terrifying natural phenomenon. What does one do when gravity threatens to pull you down toward solid ground at your terminal velocity? Most will back away, but the thrill seekers will take on gravity’s challenge and allow themselves to enjoy the most intense sensation this planet has to offer: total and unrestricted free fall. Call us today to take on the challenge! 1-800-672-8942

Tandem Jump – Getting Started with Skydiving
For those who are not familiar with the sport of skydiving or are just getting started, we have the perfect option to help you get acquainted with this thrilling sport. Tandem jumps are perfect for everyone and are easy to set up and complete. You will be introduced to the thrill of free fall in its totality while relinquishing every responsibility to a trained instructor that is FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certified.
Do not let nerves get in the way of creating lasting memories. Overcoming this fear makes the adventure even more worthwhile. You will be gifted with stunning visuals, euphoric sensations, and the thrill of falling from around 14,000 feet up. We encourage you to let your FAA instructor fall with you (strapped to your back, quite literally) to ensure that you receive the most thrilling, and safe, experience possible.
Many of our customers enjoy tandem jumps regularly. This experience can be thrilling time and time again. Tandem jumps are also a part of the certification program designed to provide licensure to solo jumpers. If jumping independently is something that you desire, you will be required to complete multiple tandem jumps with a trained instructor that will educate you on the many aspects a solo jumper must be aware of while free falling. If you would like to schedule a tandem jump as part of a training regimen or simply as an avid thrill seeker, contact us to hear our many options.
Tandem Jumping: The Technical Stuff
You should arrive at the specified drop zone earlier than your scheduled jump. Become acclimated with your surroundings, make sure your entire party has arrived (if you are going with a group), and start hyping yourself up to jump out an airplane at 14,000 feet (we won’t lie… you will need to give yourself the speech of a lifetime). Arriving early will also allow you to meet your instructor. Once you become acquainted and all is in place, your instructor will run you through some logistical information, such as how to position your body.
Once you board the aircraft, you will ascend to the appropriate jumping altitude. Your instructor will attach your harness to his/hers and both of you will move toward the doorway.
You will be jumping at over 10,000 feet (you probably won’t finish your speech…) and your free fall will last about 30 seconds. At around 6,000 feet, your instructor will deploy the parachute, and your descent to the ground will last about six minutes.
What Will I Need?
You only need to bring 3 things: yourself, comfortable athletic clothes, and tennis shoes.
Your Home Before Takeoff
Our drop zones are designed to ensure that you’re comfortable. Let’s face it, you’re already stressed out enough. You are about to hop aboard a plane, strap yourself to another human, and jump into the sky with over 10,000 feet of open air below you. We completely understand your misgivings. We do it for fun every day.
We want our drop zones to provide you with the comfort you need to hype yourself up for this experience. We have comfortable seating both inside and outside of the drop zone, and some of our locations also provide food and drinks as well. Just ask our staff inside if you have any questions. Feel free to bring food with you and don’t hesitate to express your concerns with your instructor.
Wait… There’s More?
You should always tell your guests waiting on the ground to bring a camera or two to record your magnificent return to the earth. These photos will serve as reminders of a sensation that you will never be able to replicate, so have someone on the ready when that little dot in the sky gets close enough to be recognizable.
We just might have something better to offer, however. We also offer gift certificates that can be purchased for loved ones and/or friends who would also enjoy a tandem skydiving experience. Contact our staff for more information on videographers and gift certificates by calling 1-800-672-8942.

Skydiving Training – The Path to Solo Certification
If you desire to jump solo or professionally, it is highly recommended you receive FAA facilitated training. We offer the necessary courses and resources required to obtain FAA certification. Our Skydiving training program is both certifiable and capable of being adjusted to fit the pace of any student. We can train any dedicated jumper to jump solo and professionally in a safe and effective way.
Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Training
This method of training offered by our locations is a quicker, more accelerated instruction program toward certification. It moves faster than Static Line training, and it requires the student to take on more responsibilities in their training. AFF training will take each student through seven steps facilitated by one or two professionals. The student will quickly reach a point where they are free falling on their own, but instructors will be accompanying the student to ensure the fall is performed correctly and safely. This method of training also requires hours of ground training that consist of classroom-like instruction and demonstration before the student can safely take to the air.
A student’s first fall will take place at about 10,000-12,000 feet above ground level and will be facilitated by two AFF instructors that will jump alongside the student, maintaining contact with the student by gripping the harness of the student. This method of training is called Harness Hold Training (HHT). Contact will cease when the parachute of the student is deployed at around 4,000-6,000 feet. Once a student has mastered basic free fall and parachute deployment, they can progress to learning aerial movements, docking onto other jumpers, and aerial turns.
Integrated Student Program (ISP)
Following the completion of level seven, the student enters ISP where maneuvering and free fall skills will continue to be developed. The student is required to complete 25 jumps before they can be cleared by an instructor to apply for their A license. This license clears jumpers to jump at any USPA (United States Parachute Association) approved drop zone.
Static Line Progression
Static Line Progression (SLP) is a much slower training regimen that removes free fall from the experience. Jumps are made at an altitude of 3,000 feet and the student will exit the aircraft attached to a “line” that will deploy the canopy upon leaving the door. The fall itself lasts anywhere from two to three minutes.
Before a student can make their first static line jump, they must complete four to five hours of ground instruction. Following the completion of two static line jumps, the student will be instructed on how to pull their own ripcord. They will complete three more static line jumps while pulling a dummy ripcord. Following this stage, the student will complete jumps where they will pull an actual ripcord immediately upon leaving the aircraft and then slowly implement free fall into their training by installing a 10 second delay.
Following the increase of the delay and the completion of 25 jumps, the student can be cleared to apply for their A license.

Video packages – Take the Experience With You
You can experience your jump over and over again by purchasing one of our imagery packages. We offer two methods by which your jump can be recorded.
Our first option is more costly, but it offers a view that can’t be beat. We have a camera flyer (a professional videographer) that will jump alongside you and record your flight with cinematic precision and quality. Your camera flyer will board the plane with you and record your thoughts just prior to your jump. Once it comes time to exit the plane, the videographer will jump before you to ensure that he can get the best shots possible. All of your facial expressions, screams, and emotions will be recorded by a high definition camera for you to enjoy for years to comes.
Our other option is a bit cheaper, but it offers a different perspective. If you would like to record your jump in the first person, we offer GoPros and Handycams that can be operated by your tandem instructor that will record your jump up close.
Once you have returned to the drop zone, your videos will be edited and put to music so that you have a high quality, professionally made video to take home with you.
Wait… This Guy Can Film AND Free Fall?
It truly is amazing: your videographer can skydive and competently film your jump at the same time. Camera flying is a tough and expensive profession. Not only is the job itself difficult and dangerous, but it offers many other disadvantages as well. Making a profit in this intense career can prove to be harder than expected when one considers the price per jump and the high cost of camera equipment.
While doing this professionally is not for the feeble minded, camera flying is not just a career. Recreational camera flying is a popular sector of skydiving that many people enjoy. It offers an opportunity to capture breathtaking footage of your free fall toward the magnificent earth.
The skill required to operate a high definition camera while plummeting at terminal velocity is almost unimaginable. Capturing steady shots at this speed requires that one be able to hold a stiff, sturdy, and aerodynamic position throughout the entire free fall. This requires immense practice and determination as well has body coordination that can only be acquired through experience.
Your skydiving experience might just inspire you to try out this artform. Don’t be afraid to ask your instructor or videographers any questions you have!
